Mikrob started with a simple belief:
Beautiful lawns shouldn’t come at the cost of your family’s health or the environment.
Our Beginning:
Our founder, Ismael, grew up gardening alongside his grandmother in Baja California. From a young age, he learned that healthy plants start with healthy soil.
Years later, he earned a degree in horticulture from BYU-Idaho and began working with some of the top landscape companies in North Dallas. He helped care for high-end residential and commercial properties and built a
strong career in the green industry.
But everything changed when he became a father.
The Turning Point:
Ismael’s first daughter was born with serious health risks and complications. As a new dad—and now responsible for a yard of his own—he began taking a closer look at the products commonly used in lawn care.
The more he researched, the more concerned he became.
Many traditional lawn fertilizers and treatments weren’t just hard on the soil—they weren’t something he felt comfortable using around his high-risk daughter. They also didn’t support long-term soil health or the environment.
So he started learning a different way.
He studied natural and organic lawn care methods. He learned about soil biology, beneficial microbes, compost, and how nature actually feeds plants. Instead of forcing growth with chemicals, he discovered how to build
healthy soil that supports strong, resilient lawns naturally.
He began applying these practices everywhere he could.
Why Mikrob Exists:
Eventually, Ismael made the decision to start a company built around these principles.
Mikrob was created to help families enjoy beautiful lawns—without relying on harsh chemicals. The focus has always been simple:
o Build healthy soil
o Use natural and organic inputs
o Create safer outdoor spaces for families and pets
o Work with nature, not against it
Over time, his daughter’s health improved. Today, Ismael is a proud father of four, and his mission continues.
