We take a natural approach that supports thicker grass and healthier soil (which helps crowd out weeds). We also use options like corn gluten meal and liquid iron to dimmish weeds. We also offer a hybrid program where we introduce pre-emergent treatments to help reduce grassy weeds.
Question 4: Do I need a soil test first?
Not always. Only if we are dealing with an issue that has persisted for years. We often start with a site analysis, then recommend a lab soil test only if it will give useful answers and a clearer plan.
Question 5: What is compost topdressing?
It’s a thin layer of compost applied over the lawn to add organic matter and support beneficial microbes. It’s one of the best ways to improve soil health naturally. We recommend adding aeration and humates for better results.
Question 6: How often do I need compost topdressing?
We have seen best results when done twice a year. Spring and Fall.
Question 7: If we do compost top dressing “Nature compost treatment” do I still need a fertilization program “Nature Liquid Treatment?
Yes, we recommend both for best results. Here in Texas, we have predominant clay soils or sterile dirt from new construction. Compost top dressing is aim to improve the structure of the soil where roots can thrive. Our fertilization program is there to help feed the soil microbes, introduce more microbes and fertilize plants with natural products. Plants need constant food as any other organism on earth.
Question 8: What other services do you offer?
We offer Aeration, Irrigation Repairs and Plant Health Care to our current clients. We also offer seasonal services through the year such as Power Washing, Landscape Lighting and Mulching to keep our crews busy during the slower parts of the year.
Question 9: Do you offer landscaping or landscape maintenance services?
No, we only focus on natural lawn care services. For landscape services we recommend our sister company Evergreen. They only work on specific areas in Dallas.
